Residents in South London have been fighting plans for an incinerator proposed by Sutton Council on the grounds of: increasing air pollution by burning recyclables; destroying the natural environment (next to a new nature reserve); and poor value for money.

RoseMary and Steve from the local party joined the demo outside the Royal Courts on 9th Oct in support of the judicial review hearing brought by Shasha Khan, leading light of the campaign and co-ordinator of Sutton & Croydon Green Party. It was covered by several regional tv channels

The judgement will take a few weeks to come through as they are waiting on a point law relating to another case.In the mean time further donations are still required to cover the legal costs!
