Green Party internal elections and a campaign to Take City Hall

15 August 2015

Voting for the London Mayor and London-Wide List is now open, closing 29th August. Don’t miss the opportunity to make your voice count! We’re truly democratic in our voting system, so you have a direct influence in shaping the future of the party.

As local member Lee Burkwood recently said on our email discussion list: "It's important that we get a high turnout in internal elections and as many people as possible decide who runs certain positions for the Greens. It's really easy so get on it!” More information about candidates can be found at https://www.greenparty.org.uk/news/2015/08/05/voting-begins-in-green-party%E2%80%99s-london-mayoral-contest.

The other big vote this month is for the Green Party Executive (GPEx) election – closing date 1st September. If you’re unsure about the ins and outs of the Executive, check out this link: http://bright-green.org/2015/08/09/green-party-executive-gpex-elections-is-potential-worth-more-than-experience.

And then why not bring all that political energy down to the City Hall itself? TAKE CITY HALL (http://www.takecityhall.com) 10am-4pm on Saturday 5th September. If you’ve been wondering how you can get involved in our progressive movement for change – come along! You’ll be inspired by the wave of passion and enthusiasm from the #GreenSurge. We can win – so come and build up the momentum towards the London Mayoral and London Assembly elections. Places are limited.
